BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU Museum of Art’s Executive Director Tom Livesay has been “driven” to a desperate deed and is auctioning off “Pearl” his 1994 pearl-white 3000GT to supplement the museums 20% budget cut. Melissa Daly, the museums development director said “we are always looking for creative ways to raise money and this is a fun way to get rid of Tom’s car and get the community involved in supporting the museum.”
Yes, Pearl is being auctioned off on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180405596106 so you don’t want to miss your opportunity to place your bid, own a great car and most importantly support the LSU Museum of Art. The money will be used to paint a gallery, host a children’s educational program, pay a student employee, or care for our great docents.
“I am auctioning off Pearl, my 1994 pearl-white Mitsubishi 3000GT two door coupe in an attempt to raise some money for our under-funded university art museum. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the LSU Museum of Art” said Livesay.
He just wants to raise a bit more money to keep the museum going.
