Senate Amendment Threatens Funding for Transportation Museums;
Sen. Coburn targeting museums again!

BREAKING NEWS (Sept. 14, 2009) - Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) is planning to introduce an amendment EARLY THIS WEEK to the FY10 Transportation Appropriations bill (H.R. 3288) to prohibit the use of funds for transportation museums within the Transportation Enhancement Program.

Museum Director "driven" to desperate deed!

The LSU Museum of Art’s Executive Director Tom Livesay has been “driven” to a desperate deed and is auctioning off “Pearl” his 1994 pearl-white 3000GT to supplement the museums 20% budget cut. Melissa Daly, the museums development director said “we are always looking for creative ways to raise money and this is a fun way to get rid of Tom’s car and get the community involved in supporting the museum.”
